Born and raised in Liverpool, Debra brings a vibrant blend of city energy and countryside charm to her role at Dream Escape. After spending two decades immersed in Irish life, she has developed a deep connection with the landscapes, culture, and people of both Ireland and Scotland.
Debra’s professional journey began in sales and marketing with Coca-Cola in Liverpool and Birmingham, followed by a successful stint with an Irish beauty distribution company. Her passion for travel and storytelling led her to become a travel designer, a role she has flourished in for the past 12 years, crafting unforgettable journeys across Ireland and Scotland.
When she’s not designing bespoke escapes, Debra enjoys wild swimming, hiking with her beloved fox red Labrador, Bruno, and exploring the hidden corners of Ireland. Family time and the great outdoors are her perfect balance to a career built on creativity and connection.

Michelle Clancy

Michelle was born in Edinburgh and with a background in Media and events her love of travel was ignited after backpacking around Australia and Southeast Asia in her younger years. She now loves nothing more than travelling to a hot country and exploring with her husband and 2 daughters.

Michelle is a valuable member of the Guest Experience team and loves being a part of the interesting process of creating and implementing the programmes that we put together for our lovely clients at Dream Escape.

Hannah Bathgate

Hannah is a very welcome edition to the Dream Escape team in the Guest Experience department. Before working at Dream Escape, Hannah worked in retail management including some in beauty, fashion and accessories. Her favourite place in the UK is St Andrews which she has visited every summer since she was a baby. Hannah love to travel and has gone as far east as Japan and as far west as California. Her hobbies include cooking, fashion and design.

Daelin Roberts

Daelin joins Dream Escape as part of the Travel Design team. Originally from South Africa, she has a background in hospitality and tourism, where she developed a deep appreciation for people, places, and meaningful experiences. Daelin is passionate about travel and loves discovering new destinations—whether it’s for work or family adventures.

Outside of work, you’ll often find her hiking with her husband and daughter, camera in hand. Photography is a creative outlet which she is deeply passionate about, and she loves capturing the moments that make each journey special. Staying active and spending time outdoors are a big part of her lifestyle.

Sophie Simmich

Sophie was born and raised in Germany, but has always loved the UK since she was little, which is why she decided to study Heritage & Tourism at the University of Stirling. Prior to joining Dream Escape she worked as a Guest Experience Coordinator at the Gleneagles Hotel in the Scottish Highlands. This role gave her a fantastic opportunity to share her love for Scotland and create memorable experiences for guests and a foothold in the world of luxury travel.

In her spare time she can usually be found outside exploring – hiking up a Munro, paddle boarding or trying different coffees!

Jenny Mitchell

Originally from Durban, South Africa, Jenny spent many years teaching in the East of England and Greater London before joining Dream Escape. Her background in education brings strong organisational skills and a deep appreciation for meaningful experiences to her role. As Assistant to the Travel Designers, she supports the planning and coordination of bespoke itineraries, helping to ensure each journey is thoughtfully crafted. Welcome to the team Jenny!

Rachel McGrath

With 30 years in the hotel and leisure industry, Rachel worked in Sales and became UK & Ireland Business Development Manager for the luxury Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts for 11 years, becoming a top achiever and part of their prestigious President Club awardees. Wanting a slight change Rachel became Global Key Account Director for the Corporate Market in London for 5 years with Global DMC Partners. With her husband moving to the UAE, Rachel and her son left to explore new cultures and friendships for a further 5 years in Dubai and took on Executive PA roles on her return to the UK.

She loves going to the Opera and Ballet and travelling to places new, however confesses to being a hopeless cook and delights that her husband and son are not!!

Karen Murray

Karen has worked in events management for 20 years and brings a wealth of experience in delivering UK and Global events. She also brings high level of experience in stakeholder management and client service after working in corporate and professional services for most of her career. Karen is very much a people person and enjoys developing relationships with clients and suppliers to deliver successful events.

During down time Karen enjoys traveling to cities – especially London and Paris and exploring new restaurants and bars and taking in the local culture. At home she loves being in Edinburgh, especially living next to The Hermitage in Morningside and going on dog walks with her cockapoo Ruby with a coffee and croissant in hand!

Carolyn Skeldon

After a lifetime of living in Yorkshire, Carolyn emigrated over the border to Scotland in May 2023, joining Dream Escape in June 2023. She has extensive experience as a PA and is a mum to 3 grown up girls. Carolyn was a cub scout leader for 20 years prior to ‘retiring’ in 2021 which stands her in good stead for keeping the team in order!

Carolyn loves horses and enjoys days spent horsing around on the beach, or walking her beloved labrador Annie. She love classic rock, particularly AC/DC and attends live music events whenever she can. She brings a bit of Yorkshire to the office in Edinburgh making traditional Yorkshire puddings for the team on Yorkshire day!!

Kirsty Hoskins

Kirsty has clocked-up over 20 years of experience in the UK luxury hospitality and destination management sectors. Her highlights have included fine dining events in some of London’s most iconic sites, and hosting a much younger Prince William and Catherine Middleton at the hotel she owned with her husband in Somerset. Kirsty joined Dream Escape in 2023 as Head of Travel Design, and brings with her a passion for curating FIT itineraries that showcase the very best of the UK & Ireland. Now living in the Sussex countryside with her family, she loves all things food, drink and west end musicals!
