“We are ready to share what we have got with the rest of the world” , Roger Tempest, Broughton Hall.
Holly caught up with the effervescent Roger Tempest recently, owner of the spectacular Broughton Hall in Yorkshire. Home to the Tempest Family for 900 Years, Broughton Hall is an exquisite private 3000 acre sanctuary. The Grade 1 listed Hall has been meticulously restored creating luxurious grandeur with a soft homely touch. Set within the beautiful Yorkshire Dales countryside the 3,000 acre Estate is a wondrous mix of rolling meadow pastures, ancient woodland, heather moorland, wild reservoirs and meandering rivers.
Exclusively yours with a state of the art wellness centre, Broughton Hall is the ideal haven to recharge, celebrate, inspire or re-energise and is perfect location for family gatherings and small groups. “It is like taking over an historic house as your own home” says Roger, and with so many activities and experiences available on and around the estate, there is something for everyone, at any time of the year!

Challenge
The Land Rover Experience is one of Land Rover’s very first centres for comprehensive driving tuition on challenging surfaces. As well as instruction with Land Rover, we can also organise corporate hospitality, team-building events and family days.
Last but not least, the unique dining experiences cannot be overlooked. As well as the magnificent staterooms in the main house, which lend themselves to more formal gatherings, our favourite and not to be missed spot to eat on the estate is Utopia. Utopia bistro designed by Sir Michael Hopkins, is set within Dan Pearson’s Walled Garden and is an experimental dining experience like no other, with a focus on Naturopathic, Plant-Based Foods. All menus are nutritious and full of locally sourced, natural ingredients. Innovative and delicious.
