Day One: Arrival, London

Upon arrival at London Heathrow, be met and greeted by your local chauffeur who will provide a safe and comfortable journey into the city.

London, with its unique blend of history and culture, is constantly changing and is considered the European capital to stay in touch with all that’s new and exciting.  From its wealth of iconic attractions and historic buildings to an eclectic mix of museums, art galleries, and world-class restaurants, the city offers something incredible for every member of the family.

Check-in to Brown’s Hotel, your home for the next seven nights.

It has strong literary connections; many of the world’s finest writers have stayed at this discreet property over the years, including Arthur Conan Doyle, Robert Louis Stevenson, JM Barrie and Agatha Christie – her 1965 thriller, At Bertram’s Hotel was inspired by the properties.

For family travel, Brown’s is the perfect choice.  From the Monkey teddy bear in your room to the special Families R Forte passport, the Families R Forte Programme makes sure the junior guests are just as pampered as the grown-ups.

Day Two: Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!

Spend the morning in the company of your costumed guide and discover the perfect world of the most famous British nanny – Mary Poppins!

Discover the Banks Family’s London.  Explore the spaces that gave inspiration to PL Travers for her beloved story and learn a little about the author’s life and how Mary went from the page to the screen.

Warm up your vocal chords and put a spring in your step as you explore London – singing to the birds on the steps of St. Paul’s Cathedral, exploring the rooftops where the chimney sweeps hang out, and protesting for the rights for women’s votes!

‘Mary Poppins’ drops you off at a restaurant for lunch before departing.  Afterwards, walk to the London Eye with your qualified guide.

It stands a whopping 135 metres high on the South Bank opposite Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament and provides stunning views over central London and beyond.  Your Guide will accompany you to show you the highlights of the city – it offers a spectacular way to take in over 55 of London’s most famous landmarks in just 30 minutes.

For a truly special experience, your capsule is reserved exclusively for your use, allowing you to enjoy the experience as a family.

Following your flight on the London Eye, enjoy some light-hearted fun as you step aboard a RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) to discover the capital’s most famous sights with some added thrills and spills!

Blast your way from the iconic London Eye Pier and take in the incredible sights, from Big Ben to Tower Bridge.

Once under Tower Bridge, it’s time to tighten your grip!  Hear the 630 horsepower engines rev up and whoop as you whoosh up to speeds of 30 knots (35mph!).  You will twist and turn through the docklands with a bespoke medley of thrilling classics pumping through the board sound system.

Disembark at the London Eye pier where your Guide will hail a London Black Cab for you to return to your hotel.

Day Three: Classic London

This morning, enjoy a special experience from a bygone era, as an open-top horse-drawn carriage takes you on a sight-seeing journey through the city.  Travelling at a leisurely pace, pass through one of the Royal Parks and catch glimpses of an array of historical landmarks along the way.

Afterwards, visit Westminster Abbey, a stunning Gothic church which intertwines with the very fabric of English history and has done for more than 1000 years.  It has been the scene of every Royal Coronation since 1066; more recently, in 2011 the spectacular wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton was held here.

This afternoon, walk to the Churchill War Rooms for a Privately Guided Tour that gives you a unique chance to walk back in history. This is where Sir Winston Churchill and his inner circle took shelter during the Blitz, where master strategies were hatched, and top-secret conversations were whispered late into the night, changing the course of history.

Afterwards, enjoy a taste of the magical world of Willy Wonka with a very special Charlie and the Chocolate Factory inspired Afternoon Tea.

From decadent golden eggs to blueberry brioche and playful flavoured candy floss, every item reflects the wit and wonder of Roald Dahl’s classic tale.  ‘Scrumdiddlyumptious’ teatime treats are presented with a selection of award-winning loose-leaf teas and infusions.

Enjoy some downtime at your hotel before your chauffeur collects you and transfers you to the West End for a show of your choice.

Your chauffeur returns you to the hotel following the performance.

Day Four: Warner Bros Studios - Harry Potter

Following a leisurely breakfast, travel to the Warner Bros Studios where you can delve into the magical world of Harry Potter in the place that brought J. K. Rowling’s famous saga to life.

Take advantage of the reserved seating area before you begin your journey into the world of Harry Potter (note: you will be joined by other visitors on the tour).

A guided tour will take you behind-the-scenes to discover the imagination and creativity behind the wonderful sets, props and costumes which have made this iconic series so beloved by both young and old.  Set adjacent to the working film studios where all eight Harry Potter films were made, the tour offers you the unique opportunity to explore two soundstages and a backlot filled with original sets, animatronic creatures and breath-taking special effects.

You will have the opportunity to walk the original stone floor of the iconic Hogwarts Great Hall before returning to the front doors of the Wizarding School for an exclusive photo.  Encounter some well-known creatures before taking a stroll down Diagon Alley.

Sip on a refreshing Butterbeer or try Butterbeer ice cream, which will be served in a souvenir cup to take home!  Once your tour is complete you may enjoy a hot meal and drink at a reserved table in one of the cafes.  Re-enter the Studio to see your favourite sets again and pose for inclusive souvenir photographs and a broomstick video flight over London – just like the cast would have done during filming!

Your chauffeur returns you to your hotel following your tour.

Day Five: Classic London II

This morning, an early start is required for an extra special day.  Your chauffeur and guide will escort you to the Tower of London, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for a private pre-opening guided tour.

With construction begun in the early 1080s by William the Conqueror, the Tower has borne witness to many defining events in British history.  It has imprisoned many bold characters from British history including princes never to be seen again, the explosives expert Guy Fawkes, imprisoned in 1605 for his crimes, and the second wife of Henry VIII, Anne Boleyn – arrested on the 2nd May 1536, accused of adultery and incest by a king anxious to remarry, she was beheaded some 17 days later.

Complete the visit at the Jewel House, where you will see the “greatest working collection of Crown Jewels in the world” – 23,578 gems in total.

As you depart the Tower, you are approached by a ‘Secret Agent’ and advised that the Rosetta Stone has been stolen from the British Museum.   It is up to you to save the day on this action-packed, rollercoaster adventure!

The notorious thief is on the run and has left a trail to his stolen goods – The Rosetta Stone.  Together with a small team of specialists, you and your family will have to track down the thief by solving codes, deciphering clues, using electronic trackers and breaking open lockboxes.

Once all the clues have been found, you will discover the location of the thief, but will you catch him? Or will the wily criminal escape?

Afterwards, return to your hotel.   Your chauffeur remains on hand for the balance of the day.

Day Six: Leeds Castle

This morning, depart London and travel with your private Driver Guide to Leeds Castle.  The white stone towers loom large like something from a fairy-tale and it’s easy to understand why it’s been named the “loveliest castle in the world”.

For centuries it had royal connections and it became a favourite residence of King Edward I in 1278.  Later King Henry VIII gave it to his first queen, Catherine of Aragon, although when staying here, he often visited nearby Hever Castle, home of Anne Boleyn, who was to become his doomed second wife.

Fast forward many centuries and to the 1920s when it was restored as a private residence.  Built of Kentish ragstone, it has seen little military action of its 900-year history – perhaps due its secure island location.  Today, its interiors are a mix of medieval recreation and chintzy 20th century comfort.

Lose yourself in The Maze which consists of 2,400 yew trees and when viewed from the centre, part of its plan mirrors a queen’s crown.  Once you’ve reached the middle of the Maze, return to civilisation through an underworld grotto, complete with macabre forms and mythical beasts created from shells, minerals and wood.

After exploring the Castle and grounds, head to the Falconry Centre for a private experience where your children (min age 7yrs) can learn the techniques of handling and flying a range of Owls to and from their hands.

Afterwards, your Driver Guide returns you to your hotel.

Day Seven: Day at Leisure

Spend the day doing as much or as little as you please.

Day Eight: Onward Travel

Your chauffeur will transfer you to London Heathrow for your onward travel.
